Domaine la Rabidote, a Swedish Vineyard in Languedoc

Since the summer of 2010 families Aberg and Ahlin is running the AOC Saint Chinian Vineyard. 30 minutes from the Mediteranian and at the foot of the Cevenne’s we have our 15 hectare on a south facing slope of the Roc de Buffarel.

The first year we have produced three wines.

A refreshing rosé called Couleurs DÉte

A fruity and light red called Le Temps de Sorcier

A red wine with lot’s of tannines and a long after taste called Roc de Buffarel

We grow our wines with respect for the nature and uses no pesticides. We are into the process of being an Biological Winegrower.

Since the former owner has delivered the grapes to a neighbor vineyard our three wines are the first wines made from La Rabidote.

We are expecting a lot from our second harvest in september 2011.

Detta vin har redan gjort succé

All our grapes are harvested by hand

Om Anders Åberg

Families Åberg and Ahlin became vineyard owners in summer 2010. It was more of a coincidence that drove this decision than a lifelong dream of running a vineyard in southern France. A year later, Domaine la Rabidote produced three wines, one easy to drink summer rosé called "Couleur dÉté" and two red wines. A lightly fruity wine called "Le Temps You Sorcier" and a heavier red wine that can be stored and it's named "Roc the Buffarel". The dream came through.
